Business Unit Manager (Expansion Joint Covers)

SUMMARY:
Plans, directs and controls strategic activities of Expansion Joint Covers (EJC) to accomplish longer term financial objectives. Communicates EJC plans and objectives to various Corporate and Operational entities and coordinates their support/interface to ensure alignment with, and support of, EJC strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guides the strategic direction of the SBU sales and marketing function and sets the cultural platform
Sets the pricing strategy for the market
Develops high level strategy for signature projects
Coordinates with GSM program to set SBU specific goals for the representative network
Responsible for P&L goals of the division
Recommends SBU plans and budgets and conducts activities in accordance with approved plans and budgets.
Recommends improvement or expansion of operations.
Coordinates SBU operations with appropriate organization executives.
Develops and maintains top to top relationships with key influencers and purchasers in the commercial market sector
Reviews and approves sales programs of SBU according to organization policies and participates in the formulation of marketing objectives, policies and programs.
Plans, controls and directs activities of independent rep organization to attain maximum sales volume and develop maximum potential volume form all markets for the SBU's products and services.
Ensures that operations conform with local, state, and federal governmental regulations.
Maintains appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the SBU.
Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations, through direct or delegated contacts with representative individuals or groups.
Reviews organization and staffing plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of SBU objectives. Administers personnel policies and programs as established by HR Department. Recommends modifications of these programs as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Achieve desired outcomes through skillful and effective negotiations in dealing with vendors, customers, and those you must win to your side of the issue.
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
