CNC Operator

Operate, program, and maintain various complex, computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools (six-axis minimum) and manual controlled machine tools to mill, drill, tap, bore, and turn a variety of parts of various alloys and materials; perform in-process and final inspection as required; proof test all programs, make corrections; perform shop floor programming as necessary; machine and inspect parts within a specified time frame and document any changes while working to the highest standards of safety, quality, and 5's housekeeping; load parts using fork lifts and/or floor operated cranes. Position requires advanced CNC machining / programming knowledge and skills. A high degree of responsibility is required due to value of parts machined. Other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (Responsibilities include but are not limited to):


Operate, program, and maintain various complex, computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools (six-axis minimum) and manual controlled machine tools to mill, drill, tap, bore, and turn a variety of parts of various alloys and materials; perform in-process and final inspection as required; proof test all programs, make corrections; perform shop floor programming as necessary; machine and inspect parts within a specified time frame and document any changes while working to the highest standards of safety, quality, and 5's housekeeping; load parts using fork lifts and/or floor operated cranes. Position requires advanced CNC machining / programming knowledge and skills. A high degree of responsibility is required due to value of parts machined. Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:


Associates Degree or higher in machine tool technology or equivalent training and experience setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining various complex computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools (six-axis minimum) and manual controlled machine tools. Must be proficient in reading and interpreting complex drawings and blueprints, have the ability to use measuring instruments, handle and transport materials utilizing fork trucks, cranes, and other mobile equipment, be a logical thinker with problem-solving strategies, detailed, self-motivated, able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, make sound, independent decisions, maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment, be versatile, flexible, have a cooperative attitude to interface with all levels of staff and departments inside/outside the company; work independently and/or as a team member with little to no supervision. Excellent knowledge of the English language and grammar is required. The ability to communicate effectively, at all levels (internal/external) both verbally and in writing is essential. Candidate must represent the Company's interests, and regard confidentiality at all times.



ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Work is performed in a plant environment which may be dusty, dirty, with varying temperature and noise levels, heavy duty magnets, welding machines, and manual & remote controlled devices using radio signals; keep work area orderly and clean to 5's standards. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, ascend/descend stairs, work in tight spaces, possess excellent sight, hearing, touch, and manual dexterity, visual acuity, coordination and balance, and wear necessary PPE. Perform all other duties as assigned, adhere to Company standards at all times, while working in a safe and efficient manner; endure long working hours when required and must be flexible to work 2nd & 3rd shift as business dictates.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
