As a leading Heavy Civil Contractor, HRI, Inc. is seeking Foreman in the Williamsport, PA area. HRI offers a competitive salary, along with an exceptional employee compensation package


Primary Function:


¬ 


A craftsman with extensive skill and experience level, able to manage a crew consisting of carpenters, finishers, and laborers to safely perform construction tasks.¬

Responsibilities:



  • ¬ Job requires ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction project, including the ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials.¬ 

  • Basic Carpentry as it relates to the building and bracing of wooden forms and false work.

  • Drive Pile ‚€“ must be able to work off the ground positioning pile in leads, climbing ladders up to 60 feet.

  • Steel and Concrete Girder Erection ‚€“ must be able to work off the ground assembling and guiding girders into final position, including handling as needed to preset.

  • Able to clearly explain steps, provide clear directions and answer questions while organizing subordinates.

  • Able to properly train subordinates on the tasks being performed.

  • Able to work and supervise others in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies.

  • Have mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do timesheets, including quantities.

  • Able to read and check grades.

  • Able to identify potential schedule conflicts, and problems and communicate with Supervisor.

  • Able to read blueprints and assist Supervisor with formulation of work plan.

  • Be able to successfully train a replacement.

  • While supervising a crew, be able to communicate, inspect, handle conflict, and follow directions.



  • Able to read plans, perform simple layout with minimal supervision.

  • Plan and schedule own work and crews on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Perform multiple technical skills ‚€“ proficient in four (4) areas of structural operations:

  • Steel Erection

  • Form/Construct Overhangs

  • Substructure Concrete

  • Pile Driving

  • Understand the basics of cost control, equipment operations and project requirements.

  • Effectively manage the work plan and a crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision.


Requirements:



  • Must be able to work off the ground and elevated heights.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet is required.


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years in bridge/heavy highway construction in Lead man/Lead Carpenter/Foreman role.¬ 

  • Some supervisory experience.

  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
