Muncy, PA Muncy, PA Full-time Full-time From $23 an hour From $23 an hour 17 hours ago 17 hours ago 17 hours ago Heritage Springs is seeking an experienced Resident Care Director who will work with the Executive Director and other Resident Care Director to ensure quality of care is provided to each resident.
Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services by LPN's, Med Techs, and the Resident Assistants.
Establishes effective working relationships with residents, staff, families, physicians, and agencies.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Residents:
Meet with directors regularly to discuss and review resident's needs, departmental needs, objectives, problems, and potential issues.
Ensures that directors are kept up to date on the residents' health needs, family issues/complaints, and staffing issues, and any other issues that would be pertinent to the quality of care delivered to our residents.
Serves as a liaison and manages physician, physician orders, phone calls, and all communication with physicians, and home health care agencies visits with residents.
Arranges for regular and emergency medical, dental, foot care, eye exams, and auditor services for residents.
Coordinates and completes RASP's, DME's, and/or assessments to ensure that all state forms meet the state regulations.
Coordinate and conduct care plan meetings with families and various department staff regarding resident service.
Assists with move in paperwork.
Ensure that all paperwork is complete and accurate and meets state regulations before actual move in.
Staffing:
Schedules, trains, directs, supervises, and disciplines Resident Assistants, Med Techs, LPN's in conjuncture with the directors.
Complies with state staffing regulations and facility standards.
Coordinates initial training for nursing staff, and ensures training program is on track and followed through.
Becomes and mentor/liaison to any new staff.
Assists directors in ensuring that all nursing staff completes all mandatory annual training on time.
Prepares Resident Assistants and LPN appraisals and recommends salary adjustments.
Recommends and follows through with coaching and discipline in conjuncture with directors.
Evaluates the need for any devices and/or equipment for the residents.
Coordinates delivery of such equipment in a timely manner.
General:
Initiates and maintains resident charts to comply with state and facility requirements.
Works closely with the directors to ensure that state rules and regulations are followed.
Ensures that equipment, medical supplies, etc.
are stocked.
Qualifications:
Must be compassionate and highly adaptable to change.
Must be LPN/RN Must have at least 5
year of experience.
Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia preferred.
Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
Must be take call.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time when necessary.
Must be able to travel to evaluate potential residents.
While doing this job, the Resident Associate could be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and body fluids, which can contain AIDS and Hepatitis viruses.
Chemical exposure is limited to cleaners, disinfectants, and personal care items.
